Effective relief from dry eye symptoms such as soreness, irritation and dryness. Viscotears Gel For Dry Eye Treatment contains Carbomer, which produces a moisturising layer over the eye's surface. It can be used as a substitute for natural tears for people who have dry eyes. Longer lasting protection from dry eyes.

Pharmacist Tip

Viscotears may cause a temporary blurring of the vision when they are put in the eye due to thickness of the gel. Blinking will help to spread the gel and reduce the bluriness more quickly.

Viscotears Gel For Dry Eye Treatment helps to relieve symptoms of dry eyes such as soreness, burning, irritation or dryness when the not enough tears are being produced to keep the eye wet. It contains the active ingredient Carbomer which produces a transparent, lubricating and moistening film over the surface of the eye.

Unlike some other eye drops, the Carbomer in Viscotears Gel For Dry Eye Treatment clings to the surface of the eye and doesn't wash out as quickly, for longer lasting protection. It can be used as a substitute for natural tears for people with dry eyes.

Additonal information about dry eyes:

Tears lubricate the eye, but they contain more than just water. They have antibodies, mucus and oils for protection, ease of spreading and lubrication. An imbalance in the production of tears can be caused by the natural aging process, menpause, problems with the structure of the eye and side effects of certain medication.

Dry eye is most commonly treated with eye drops or ointments. Whilst drops may need application more often then ointment, the ointments may cause temporary blurring or hazing. Therefore ointments may be more suitable at night use.

It is important to use lubrication for dry eyes even when eyes feel fine to continuously keep them lubricated.
