About The Online Doctor
About The Independent Pharmacy Online Doctor Service
What is the Online Doctor Service?
The Online Doctor is a perfectly safe way to acquire private prescription medication through a private online consultation with a UK-registered doctor or prescribing pharmacist. The Care Quality Commission regulate the service and all our doctors are registered with the General Medical Council so you can be assured you are receiving high quality care from start to finish.
There are several conditions for which the NHS will not provide subsidised treatment, such as erectile dysfunction (e.g. Viagra and Cialis), malaria prevention (e.g. Malarone) and many others. Medicines for these conditions need to be prescribed privately and usually don’t require a physical examination, even if you see the prescriber face-to-face.
We offer the convenience of carrying this consultation out in full on our website. If appropriate, one of our prescribers will then provide us with a private prescription and send you all the information you need to use the medicine. Your medicines will then be delivered to you at a location of your choice in discreet packaging.
All information provided in this service is completely confidential and will only be shared with your own GP with your consent. All information will be stored on your online patient record for you to refer back to if needed.
