It’s especially suitable if you have problems swallowing, as the tablets dissolve in your mouth, allowing your body to absorb the medication. Fast Acting Migraine Relief helps to ease symptoms such as pain, nausea, vomiting and sensitivity to light and sound.

Can I Take Fast Acting Migraine Relief?

Fast Acting Migraine Relief is not suitable if you are under 18 or over 65.

You may not be able to take Fast Acting Migraine Relief if you have:

  • High blood pressure
  • Heart problems
  • An allergy to the active ingredient
  • Had a stroke
  • Had symptoms of a mini-stroke (TIA)

How Does Fast Acting Migraine Relief Work?

Migraine headaches may be caused by widening or swollen blood vessels in your head. The main active ingredient in Fast Acting Migraine Relief works to reduce the widening of these blood vessels. This may help to ease symptoms such as pain, nausea, vomiting and sensitivity to light and sound.

How To Take Fast Acting Migraine Relief

You can take Fast Acting Migraine Relief as soon as a migraine headache starts. Place one tablet on your tongue and allow it to dissolve. It will then be swallowed with your saliva (spit) and absorbed into your body. If you still have a migraine after two hours, you can take another tablet.

Do not take more than 10mg in 24 hours. This means:

  • Up to 4 × 2.5mg tablets in 24 hours
  • Up to 2 × 5mg tablets in 24 hours

Side Effects

The most common side effects of Fast Acting Migraine Relief are tingling in your fingers, toes or skin; feeling sleepy, dizzy or warm; headaches; nausea; stomach pain and an uneven heartbeat. If you experience more serious symptoms – such as an allergic reaction; pain in your chest; stroke symptoms; bloody diarrhoea; swelling of your face, lips or mouth; or an itchy rash – contact a doctor straight away.

Warnings

During your consultation, make sure you tell a member of our team about any health conditions. It’s especially important to let them know if you have any heart or liver problems or are taking medicine to treat depression. It’s also important to tell them if you smoke and whether you have high blood pressure, high cholesterol or diabetes. Do not take St John’s wort while using this medicine. If you already take it, tell your prescriber.
