Scott graduated from Strathclyde University in 2011 with a MPharm (Hons). He later completed his Independent Prescriber qualification.
Areas of Expertise
Digital healthcare, online pharmacy regulation, digital strategy, healthcare automation, digital marketing, and company leadership.
Professional Background & Qualifications
Scott attended the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, where he completed his Master's in Pharmacy. After qualifying as a GPhC-registered pharmacist in 2012, he worked in various pharmacies across Bristol and the surrounding area. It was during this time that he met co-founder Andy Boysan. For the past 13 years, he has worked in the online pharmacy industry, managing the company through rapid changes in regulation, customer adoption, technology and available treatments.
Areas of Expertise & Current Role
Scott’s current role involves overseeing the strategic direction of the company during a period of rapid growth and an evolving regulatory landscape. He also leads the company’s digital strategy, guiding the development of custom software to ensure the safe and effective provision of remote healthcare. His areas of expertise include understanding digital healthcare delivery in the UK, particularly the regulatory frameworks, and how technology can be used to increase access to healthcare while reducing risk. He is also highly experienced in the digitalisation and automation of pharmacy dispensing and fulfilment.
Personal Approach / Patient Care Philosophy
As a trusted UK pharmacist, Scott believes care should be individualised to meet the needs of the patient. He views digital health as playing a vital role in increasing access to patients and is committed to driving standards to ensure that remote care is provided safely. His philosophy is to treat every patient as if they were a member of your family. Even if an issue doesn’t seem serious to you as a clinician, it is important to the person seeking help for it and should be treated as such to meet the pharmacy’s SLAs to each patient for a healthcare service they can rely on.
Personal Details
Scott lives in Bristol with his wife and two young children. As a Gloucester fan, he enjoys watching rugby, and along with live music and getting outdoors, whether it be rock climbing or hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc trail - one of his proudest achievements outside of work.
