Mariagina studied pharmacy in Italy at the Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna, where she obtained her Pharmacy and Industrial Pharmacy degree. She qualified as a pharmacist with the Federazione dei Farmacisti Italiani (FOFI) in 2024. Since then, Mariagina has gained experience in community pharmacy as part of a dispensary team and worked as a researcher in a local hospital.

Her work includes clinically checking POM, P medicines, GLP-1 therapies, checking medications for NHS patients, responding to patient queries and applying appropriate prescribing guidelines and medicine use.

Outside of work, Mariagina enjoys playing tennis with her husband, practising pilates, listening to jazz and travelling with her friends and family.
