What Is Prescription Pain Relief Cream 0.075%?

Prescription Pain Relief Cream 0.075% contains the active ingredient, which relieves nerve pain near the skin. It’s used to treat post-shingles pain and diabetic nerve damage in hands and feet.

How To Use Prescription Pain Relief Cream

  • Apply a thin layer to the affected area.
  • Gently rub it in until it’s absorbed.
  • Use 3–4 times a day, with a gap of at least 4 hours, as directed by your prescriber.
  • Wash your hands after applying, unless you are treating your hands.

Side Effects

Like all medicines, Prescription Pain Relief Cream may cause side effects.

The most common side effect is a warm, burning or stinging feeling where the cream is applied. This is usually mild to moderate and usually reduces with continued use.

Other side effects may include:

  • Redness or irritation where you’ve applied the cream.
  • Vapours may cause brief eye, nose or throat irritation, coughing, sneezing, breathlessness or worsening asthma.

If the irritation is severe or does not improve, stop using the cream and speak to your clinical team.
