Cocois Information
What is Cocois Ointment?
Cocois Ointment contains coal tar, salicylic acid and sulphur used to treat irritation, itching and scaling of the scalp caused by conditions such as psoriasis, eczema or dandruff.
This highly effective ointment works in 3 ways to combat dry skin conditions. Combining an antifungal, antiseptic and an exfoliant to help your skin fight off infections. Leaving itchy, irritated skin soothed and comfortable and visibly flake-free.
Each 100g tube of ointment comes with an applicator nozzle making it simple to use even on your scalp. Cocois Ointment is suitable for daily use in children and adults over the age of 12 years for up to 7 days or as a once a week treatment to keep mild scaliness under control.
What is Cocois Ointment used for?
Cocois Ointment is used to relieve and reduce hardening, thickening and scaling of the skin on your scalp that is caused by skin conditions including psoriasis, eczema or dandruff. Although scalp conditions are usually harmless they can cause day-to-day irritation and can leave some people feeling self-conscious or embarrassed.
This versatile product has been developed to get on top of dry skin quickly and is suitable for the treatment of mild to severe scaling of the skin. For the treatment of mild skin conditions, it can be used once a week to help keep skin comfortable or for more severe flare-ups it should be used daily for a week.
If you do not notice any improvement to the condition of your skin after 7-days of use you should speak to a doctor or pharmacist for advice.
How does Cocois Ointment work?
This ointment combines 3 active ingredients to help relieve irritation, itchiness and inflammation as well as reducing the risk of skin infection.
Coal tar and sulphur have mild antiseptic and antifungal properties that prevent infection and help to relieve itching. These two products alongside salicylic acid also help to reduce hard, thick and scaly skin by encouraging affected areas of skin to be regenerated leaving healthy skin in its place. Cocois Ointment also helps to keep your skin deeply nourished and hydrated by using a base of coconut oil compound.
