What is Antibiotic Acne Treatment and what is it used for?

Containing the antibiotic Antibiotic Acne Treatment, Antibiotic Acne Treatment capsules are prescribed to treat mild to moderate acne, by killing the excess bacteria, propionibacterium, which builds up over time on the skin.

Administered as a 100mg capsule, Antibiotic Acne Treatment will need to be taken for up to eight weeks. The active ingredient is highly effective at treating acne vulgaris and other bacterial infections.

Antibiotic Acne Treatment dosage

For adults between 18 to 65 years: Take 1 Antibiotic Acne Treatment capsule daily, at the same time each day for up to 3 months and then reviewed.

  • Antibiotic Acne Treatment capsules should always be taken with a full glass of water.
  • Antibiotic Acne Treatment should be taken on an empty stomach, this is usually 1 hour before food or 2 hours after food.
  • Antibiotic Acne Treatment capsules should not be taken at the same time as indigestion remedies. A gap of 2 -3 hours should be left between taking each treatment.

Side Effects

Like other medicines, Antibiotic Acne Treatment can cause some people to experience side effects. The most common side effects are usually mild and improve during the course of treatment, these include:

  • Diarrhoea or sickness
  • Loss of appetite
  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Hearing problems
  • Increased sensitivity of the skin to sunlight causing itching, redness, scaling or blistering.
  • Cough
  • Loss of hair

Warnings

You should not take Antibiotic Acne Treatment if you:

  • Have had an allergic reaction to tetracycline antibiotics.
  • Have kidney or liver disease.
  • Have lupus or myasthenia gravis.
