Slynd 4mg - Available Online

Slynd 4mg is an innovative oestrogen-free contraceptive pill that combines flexibility with reliability. It is designed for those who need, or would prefer, to avoid taking oestrogen for health or personal reasons.

It contains a female hormone (progestogen) called drospirenone and provides greater flexibility than similar contraceptive pills with a 24-hour missed pill window.

Slynd prevents pregnancy by thickening cervical mucus and thinning the lining of the womb (the endometrium). This prevents the ovary from releasing an egg while also impeding the progress of sperm, making it harder for them to reach and fertilise an egg.

As long as the dosage guidelines are properly followed, Slynd is proven to be 98% effective in preventing pregnancy.

Each pack contains 24 active white tablets (containing drospirenone) and 4 inactive green tablets.

If you'd like to order Slynd, you’ll need a quick, easy and 100% confidential consultation first. This is so that we can make sure that Slynd is a safe and appropriate product for your body's unique needs.

Slynd 4mg Details

Slynd 4mg is a progestogen-only contraceptive pill that is proven to be 98% effective when taken properly.

Its active ingredient is a female hormone called drospirenone, and it is 100% oestrogen-free. As such, it is a suitable option for anyone who is breastfeeding, is a smoker, is at risk of blood clots, or has been advised to avoid oestrogen for health reasons.

Within each pack are enough pills for a 28-day cycle, with 24 active white tablets and four inactive green tablets.

How Does It Work?

Slynd has a triple-action approach to contraception, using the following mechanisms to provide effective contraception without estrogen.

  • stopping ovulation
  • thickening cervical mucus to create a barrier for sperm
  • thinning the lining of the womb to prevent implantation

This triple-action approach differs from traditional progestogen-only contraceptive pills that don't necessarily inhibit ovulation.

How To Take/Use Slynd

Take one tablet with water every day at the same time for 28 consecutive days, taking first the 24 white active tablets and then the four green inactive tablets.

If you forget to take your daily pill at the usual time, take the missed pill as soon as you remember and take the next pill at the usual time. You can even do this if it means taking two pills at once. This is because Slynd has a 24-hour missed pill window.

If the missed pill is taken outside the 24-hour window, take the missed tablet as soon as you remember to, even if it means taking two tablets at the same time, and use an additional method of contraception (e.g. a condom) for the next seven
days.

Use the stickers provided in the pack to easily track which pills you have taken.
