Antibiotic Nasal Infection Treatment is a dual-action antiseptic and antibiotic cream. It is a smooth white cream that comes in 15g aluminium tubes. Antibiotic Nasal Infection Treatment is designed to treat nasal bacterial infections. These infections are usually caused by Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and can cause painful red bumps prone to bleeding and weeping, resulting in both frequent nosebleeds and irritation.

Antibiotic Nasal Infection Treatment's dual-action formula not only eradicates the bacteria living in the skin of your nasal cavity but also helps to prevent re-infection. The powerful yet gentle formulation is designed for nasal use only. Applying Antibiotic Nasal Infection Treatment to bacterial skin infections elsewhere on the body may result in adverse skin reactions such as contact dermatitis.

How To Use Antibiotic Nasal Infection Treatment

Always use Antibiotic Nasal Infection Treatment as directed by your healthcare provider.

Wash and dry your hands before and after applying.

Place a small amount on the tip of your little finger and carefully apply the cream to the inside of one nostril. Repeat this for the other nostril.

When treating an active infection, repeat this process four times a day. If you're trying to prevent an infection, repeat twice a day.

Treatment is usually prescribed for ten days. Make sure you continue applying Antibiotic Nasal Infection Treatment throughout the full course, even if your symptoms improve. Stopping your course early could increase your risk of re-infection.

Side Effects

Like all medications, Antibiotic Nasal Infection Treatment has some risk of side effects. These are usually mild and temporary and not everyone will experience them.

The most common include irritation (redness or itching) or discolouration of your skin where the cream was applied, temporary changes in your sense of smell or taste. In some rare cases, people using Antibiotic Nasal Infection Treatment for long periods will experience hearing problems. This is why it is so important to only use this medication as prescribed.

In some very rare cases, people experience kidney problems (including pain when urinating or blood in their urine).

If you experience any side effects of Antibiotic Nasal Infection Treatment, stop using it immediately and talk to a member of our clinical team. They will be able to advise you on an alternative treatment.

If you experience any symptoms of allergic reaction, including severe redness or blistering of your skin, difficulty breathing, dizziness, or swelling of the face, mouth or tongue seek immediate medical attention.

Warnings

Do not use Antibiotic Nasal Infection Treatment if you are allergic to any of the ingredients it contains. Please read all packaging and the Patient Information Leaflet before taking any new medicine.

This medication can cause irritation on the site where it is applied (contact dermatitis). Always use on clean, dry skin. If Antibiotic Nasal Infection Treatment is combined with certain soaps, it may not work properly.

Avoid getting Antibiotic Nasal Infection Treatment on your clothes. If this occurs, avoid using bleach to remove it, as this can result in permanent staining.
