Steve studied pharmacy at the University of Nottingham, graduating in 1998 with a BPharm (Hons) degree. After qualifying as a pharmacist in 1999, he gained experience across a range of Bristol-based independent and larger pharmacies, including Boots, Moss, and Cohens. During this time, he held a variety of senior positions, including Superintendent Pharmacist and Regional Development Manager.

In 2020, Steve enhanced his clinical expertise by qualifying as an Independent Prescriber at the University of Bath.

At The Independent Pharmacy, Steve oversees the clinical team, ensuring the highest standards of patient-centred care. His role includes training and developing the team, improving processes to enhance safety and effectiveness, working closely with other departments to support seamless patient journeys, and regularly reviewing and strengthening clinical governance.

Steve is committed to providing the best possible care within his areas of expertise. Where a patient’s needs extend beyond his scope, he ensures they are directed to the most appropriate service.

Outside of work, Steve is a passionate football fan and a loyal supporter of Bristol City Football Club. He also enjoys playing five-a-side, cycling—having completed the John O’Groats to Land’s End challenge in 2017—and travelling.
