Steve studied at University of Nottingham graduating with a BPharm (Hons) in 1998. In 2020 he completed his Independent Prescriber training at the University of Bath.

Steve studied pharmacy at the University of Nottingham, graduating in 1998 with a BPharm (Hons) degree. After qualifying as a pharmacist in 1999, he gained experience across a range of Bristol-based independent and national pharmacies, including Boots, Moss and Cohens. Throughout his career, he’s held several senior positions, including Superintendent Pharmacist and Regional Development Manager at Assura Pharmacy, where he was responsible for leading teams, ensuring compliance and maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice.
In 2020, Steve furthered his qualifications by completing his Independent Prescriber training at the University of Bath. His diverse experience and clinical training have equipped him with a broad understanding of the operational and professional aspects of pharmacy practice, making him one of our key online pharmacists.

As a trusted UK pharmacist and Clinical Team Manager at The Independent Pharmacy, Steve oversees clinical operations to ensure we consistently deliver the highest standards of patient-centred care. His responsibilities include training and developing the pharmacy team to the required professional standard. He also improves internal processes to ensure they are safe, efficient and effective across departments.
Steve also plays a key role in maintaining and regularly reviewing the company’s clinical governance framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice guidelines. As a manager and GPhC-registered pharmacist, his proactive leadership and detailed approach help safeguard patient welfare, while driving continuous improvement in the quality and reliability of clinical services.

Personal Details
In his spare time, Steve is a passionate football fan and loyal Bristol City supporter. When he is not following the team, you will often find him playing five-a-side or out on his bike, having already taken on the impressive John O’Groats to Land’s End cycling challenge. He also speaks Spanish and enjoys travelling to discover new places, cultures and food.
