    Canesbalance is a clinically proven, more natural treatment option for bacterial vaginosis (BV). BV causes unusual, fishy-smelling discharge and is a result of a change in the natural pH of the vagina. It is not an STI but having BV can make you more at risk of catching one, this is because BV reduces the acidity of the vagina making it a more habitable environment for infections.

    Canesbalance is effective at treating BV because it raises the acidity level of the vagina meaning invading bacteria can no longer survive. If you are unsure whether you are suffering from BV you should take a home test or speak to a doctor or pharmacist for advice before using Canesbalance.

    How quickly does Canesbalance work?

    Canesbalance should be used daily for 7 days even if you notice that your symptoms have improved. This will help to reduce the risk of developing BV again.

    It is not uncommon for women to experience recurrent episodes of BV. These normally occur within 3 months. If you experience more than 2 episodes of BV within 6 months you should speak to a doctor about starting on a course of longer-term treatment.

  • How to use Canesbalance BV Gel

    Canesbalance is for vaginal use only. Apply 1 applicator of gel into the vagina for 7 days. It is recommended to use this product at night. Some leakage is normal so it is advisable to wear a pantyliner during treatment.

    1. Wash your hands before and after use.
    2. Snap off the tip of 1 pre-filled, disposable applicator.
    3. Sit or lie in a comfortable position.
    4. Insert the neck of the applicator into the vagina, as far up as is comfortable.
    5. Squeeze the applicator gently until the applicator is empty.
    6. Remove and discard the applicator.
