Eye Infection Treatment Drops summary

Eye Infection Treatment Drops

What are Eye Infection Treatment Drops?

Eye Infection Treatment Drops can be used to treat eye infections caused by bacterial conjunctivitis or eyelid infections (Blepharitis). The treatment contains an antibiotic that quickly kills bacteria in the eye.

Using just one drop twice daily for as little as 3 days can clear up the infection directly at the source leaving your eyes feeling healthy and nourished.

What are Eye Infection Treatment Drops used for?

Eye Infection Treatment is an antibiotic used to treat eye and eyelid infections called conjunctivitis and blepharitis.

Bacterial conjunctivitis is caused by bacteria getting into the eye or eyes. This can result in them becoming bloodshot, feeling like they are burning or feeling gritty. You may notice your eyes produce pus that sticks to lashes and that they are itchy and watery.

Conjunctivitis is a fairly common condition and in some cases can clear up without the need for any treatment. However, for some people, using Eye Infection Treatment Drops can be very effective and noticeably improve the condition of their eyes within just a few days.

As Eye Infection Treatment Drops is an antibiotic it is not suitable for treating eye infections that are not caused by bacteria - for example, viral eye infections.

How long should I use Eye Infection Treatment Drops?

You can use Eye Infection Treatment Drops for 3 days. Long treatment does not improve the condition. If you have not noticed any improvement after this time you will need to see a doctor in person as they may wish to review your eye condition with a special tool called a slit lamp.

Dosage

Instill one drop in the eye twice a day, morning and evening, for three days.

It is unnecessary to prolong treatment beyond three days.

Adherence to the dosing regimen is important for the success of treatment.

For full details on how to use the drops please read the Patient Information Leaflet.
