Wynzora Cream Summary
Wynzora Cream Information
What Is Wynzora Cream?
Wynzora Cream is a prescription-only treatment for mild to moderate plaque psoriasis in adults, including scalp psoriasis. It contains two active ingredients, calcipotriol and betamethasone. These work together to reduce inflammation and help slow the rapid growth of skin cells that cause plaques.
Can I Use Wynzora Cream?
Wynzora Cream is recommended for adults with mild to moderate plaque psoriasis. It should not be applied to skin affected by other conditions, such as acne or rosacea. If you are unsure whether this treatment is right for your skin, speak to your prescriber for advice before use.
Is Wynzora Cream The Same As Dovobet?
Not quite. While Wynzora and Dovobet share the same active ingredients, the difference lies in the formulation. While Dovobet is available as a gel or ointment, Wynzora is a cream. One of our qualified prescribers can advise which formulation is more appropriate for you.
How Does Wynzora Cream Work?
Wynzora Cream works by targeting two key processes involved in plaque psoriasis.
Calcipotriol helps slow down the production of skin cells, encouraging the skin to return to a more normal growth cycle. This reduces the thickness and scaling of plaques.
Betamethasone is a strong corticosteroid that acts to reduce inflammation. This helps ease redness, swelling and irritation in the affected skin.
