How Does Prescription Sinusitis Treatment Work?

It works by stopping the bugs that cause bacterial sinusitis from producing the proteins they need to survive. Without this they’re unable to grow, giving your immune system a chance to clear the infection.

It’s effective against the bugs which commonly cause bacterial sinus infections such as Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae. This makes it a reliable treatment when your symptoms are more severe or don’t improve on their own.

How To Take/Use Prescription Sinusitis Treatment

Our medical professionals will tell you how to take Prescription Sinusitis Treatment but typically you’ll take 500mg twice daily for five to seven days with at least half a glass of water each time.

It’s important you complete the full course of antibiotics even if you start to feel better before finishing it. Stopping treatment early can allow some bacteria to survive and for the infection to return or get worse.

Side Effects

Prescription Sinusitis Treatment is well tolerated, but like any medicine you may get side effects. The most common ones you may experience are stomach problems (nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea), difficulty sleeping, changes in taste, headaches and increased sweating.

If you suffer severe or prolonged diarrhoea, difficulty breathing, fainting or swelling of your face, yellowing of your skin, a tender tummy, pale poo or dark urine, severe skin reactions, or muscle pain and weakness you should stop taking the medication straight away and speak to our medical professionals.

Warnings

Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before taking Prescription Sinusitis Treatment:

• If you are pregnant or you think that you may be pregnant
• If you have a liver or kidney disorder
• If you have been diagnosed with coronary artery disease, severe heart failure or slowed heart rate
• If you are taking any of the medicines

If you experience any of the situations described below while taking Prescription Sinusitis Treatment, you should tell your doctor about it:

• Severe hypersensitivity reactions, such as maculopapular rash, urticaria, ecchymosis, swelling of the larynx, and bronchospasm. Immediately report to a doctor who will introduce appropriate treatment.
• Diarrhoea, especially acute or prolonged. Talk to your doctor as soon as possible. If necessary, the doctor will prescribe appropriate treatment. Do not use anti-diarrheal medicines.
• Symptoms indicating hepatic dysfunction, such as lack of appetite, jaundice, dark urine colour, pruritus or painful stomach. Stop treatment and report to the doctor.
• New infection (superinfection) with Prescription Sinusitis Treatment resistant bacteria or fungi, especially during prolonged antibiotic use. The doctor will prescribe appropriate treatment.

Prescription Sinusitis Treatment and other medications

Prescription Sinusitis Treatment cannot be used alongside a huge variety of other treatments. If you are taking ANY other medications, it is extremely important that you either get in touch with our customer service, or speak to your doctor first.
