Your First Month On Nevolat - What To Expect

Starting a new treatment can feel like a big step, and your first month on Nevolat is all about getting used to the medicine and seeing how it works for you. Nevolat is designed to support weight loss by helping you feel fuller and less hungry, making it easier to stick to a healthy diet and exercise plan.

During the first few weeks, your doctor will gradually increase your dose to allow your body to adjust. You might notice some side effects, like feeling sick or tired, but these usually improve as your treatment continues. It's important to stay consistent with your injections and follow your doctor’s advice on diet and exercise.

Starting Nevolat marks the beginning of a journey towards better weight management and hopefully, better health. Take it step by step and remember that we are here to guide and support you.

Key takeaway 1 | Dose increases gradually over first weeks

Key takeaway 2 | Side effects may be more common at the start

Key takeaway 3 | Following dose schedule important for success

Before You Start Nevolat

Before starting Nevolat, it’s important to prepare so your treatment begins smoothly. First, ensure you have proper storage for your medicine. Nevolat needs to be kept in the fridge (2°C-8°C) before opening and should not be frozen. Once opened, it can be stored in the fridge or at room temperature (below 30°C) for up to one month.

Your Nevolat supply will be delivered directly from us, so you can feel reassured where your medicine is coming from. Remember, the Nevolat pen doesn’t include needles, so you’ll need to have suitable disposable pen needles (4mm).

You’ll need a consultation before you can start using Nevolat. Our clinical team will review your health, discuss your treatment plan, and give you advice about how diet and exercise can support your weight loss. This consultation is an important first step to help you feel confident and prepared as you begin your journey.

Week By Week Nevolat Guide

During your first month on Nevolat, your dose will be gradually increased to help your body adjust to the treatment. Here's what to expect each week:

  • Week one (0.6mg daily): This is the starting dose and will ease your body into treatment. You might experience mild nausea or tiredness, but staying hydrated and eating smaller, low-fat meals can help.
  • Week two (1.2mg daily): As your dose increases, you may notice that your appetite reduces, and you need to eat less to feel full. Side effects like nausea or diarrhoea may still occur but should start to improve.
  • Week three (1.8mg daily): Appetite control becomes more noticeable, and you may start to see small weight changes. Stick to your diet and exercise plan for the best results.
  • Week four (2.4mg daily): By this stage, your body should be adjusting well. Focus on maintaining your routine and monitoring progress. If side effects persist or worsen, contact your healthcare provider.

Our knowledgeable team is here to support you throughout this process and answer any questions or concerns that you have.

Managing Common First Month Effects

During your first month on Nevolat, it’s normal to experience some side effects as your body adjusts to the treatment. Common effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, or tiredness. These usually ease after the first few weeks. Staying hydrated and eating small, low-fat meals can help reduce nausea, while light activity such as walking might improve your energy levels.

Stick to the dose schedule our team recommends, and avoid skipping doses. If you experience severe or ongoing side effects, such as intense stomach pain, signs of dehydration, or symptoms of low blood sugar (e.g., dizziness, sweating), please get in touch with our team, or an emergency healthcare provider, right away.

Lifestyle adjustments, like following a balanced diet and getting regular exercise, are key to maximising Nevolat’s benefits. These changes will support your weight loss journey and help you feel your best. For more tips on managing side effects, visit the side effects guide. Remember, we want you to succeed in becoming the healthiest you can be, and are here to support you every step of the way.

Signs Of Success

Many people notice they feel less hungry, making it easier to stick to their diet plan. You may feel fuller after eating smaller portions, which is a positive sign that Nevolat is working.

Weight loss will vary for everyone, but by the end of 12 weeks, you should aim to lose at least 5% of your starting weight. Regularly tracking your weight and how you feel can help monitor your progress.

Always Remember...

It is essential that you speak to a licensed medical professional before starting any weight loss medication. They can provide personalised, expert guidance, assess potential risks and ensure that your chosen treatment is safe and suitable for your health needs.
