Mounjaro Price Change Update

You may have seen in the news that from September 1st 2025, the manufacturer of Mounjaro will be increasing the UK price for all doses. This is an industry-wide change, taken out of our hands, and will affect all regulated providers of Mounjaro in the UK.

The price of Mounjaro is increasing

Eli Lilly (the manufacturer of Mounjaro) has increased the list price of all strengths of Mounjaro to UK pharmacies. Although a rebate/discount is being provided to pharmacies, the cost price is still increasing significantly. This will take place from 1st September 2025.

You still have options

If you're worried about the price increases, you have options to reduce your Mounjaro dose or switch to Wegovy (with new lower prices)

We're here to support you

Our customer service and clinical teams are here to support you by email and telephone.

Existing orders will be fulfilled as expected

Although we're experiencing stock shortages on higher strengths of Mounjaro, any orders that are already placed will be fulfilled as expected (subject to clinical approval).

We're exceptionally busy

Due to the increased demand for orders before the price changes take effect on 1st September, we're very busy. Our team is working hard but order dispatch and customer service responses are currently delayed by 1 - 2 days. Thanks in advance for your patience whilst we work through the backlog.

Mounjaro stock availability

Unfortunately we are unable to source as much stock as we would have previously expected from Eli Lilly. This has combined with unprecedented demand for re-orders to ensure people get their next pen.

As such, we are now out of stock for all orders of Mounjaro 10mg & 12.5mg. To protect the remaining stock for existing patients, we are currently not accepting new patients for 5mg, 7.5mg & 15mg. Any orders that have already been placed have stock reserved and will be fulfilled as expected, subject to clinical approval.

As we prioritise fair supply, we will continue to limit each order to one pen and only allow your next dose to be purchased if it is within our usual timeframes. This means we can only dispense your next pen once you’ve completed three doses from your current pen, to ensure your treatment remains safe and clinically appropriate.

We expect new stock to arrive by Friday 5th September. This will mean that all strengths of Mounjaro will be back in stock and we will make that new stock available for orders as soon as possible.

Mounjaro & Wegovy pricing

Since the recent news about the wholesale price increase of Mounjaro we have been working hard to ensure you continue to receive the right medication to support your weight loss journey, while upholding the high standards of service and care you expect from us.

Following the manufacturer’s update to list price and new discount/rebate provided to pharmacies, we are now able to confirm our new pricing for Mounjaro. We will be holding our current prices on the strengths that we have in stock until they run out. These strengths will then move to the new pricing below:

Mounjaro StrengthNew Price

We have proactively reduced the price of Wegovy to ensure that the switching doses are now lower than the current Mounjaro price to allow for an option to continue treatment at a similar cost. If you would like to switch and need further information we’ve written a helpful switching guide and our clinical team is on hand to provide advice should you need further clarification.

Other information

Please note that due to the increased demand, orders are delayed 1 - 2 days and we are taking longer than usual to respond to emails and calls. If you have an outstanding order, thank you for your patience - our team is working really hard to cope with demand.

Our priority is to support you throughout your treatment, and whilst we work hard to find the best possible price for Mounjaro, we understand that you may be considering other options, our clinical team will help you choose the safest and most effective path forward. In the meantime, we will keep this helpful page updated with information as we have it.

FAQs

  • Why is the price of Mounjaro going up?

This is a national price increase set by the manufacturer, Eli Lilly. Unfortunately, it affects all suppliers and pharmacies across the UK from 1st September.

We will keep the current price for as long as possible but stock is limited. The current prices will maintain until at least 1st September. We will not raise our prices until we are buying stock at the new higher prices.

  • What are my options?

    • Continue your current Mounjaro treatment (if in stock)
    • Adjust to a lower or higher dose of Mounjaro (if clinically appropriate)
    • Switch to another treatment, such as Wegovy
  • What if the Mounjaro dose I need is currently out of stock?

If your next Mounjaro dose is currently out of stock, you can:

    • Adjust to a different dose of Mounjaro (if clinically appropriate)
      • If you are currently on Mounjaro 10mg, you should consider switching to temporarily Mounjaro 7.5mg, or to Wegovy 1.7mg
      • If you are currently on Mounjaro 12.5mg, you should consider switching to Mounjaro 15mg, or to Wegovy 1.7mg
    • Wait for your next dose to come into stock (currently expected 3rd September)
    • Switch to another treatment, such as Wegovy (read our Mounjaro to Wegovy switching guide)

We currently expect more stock to arrive by Friday 5th September.

  • What if i've been waiting for my strength to come back in stock?

    • If it has been less than 4 weeks since your last injection and you had side effects on the current strength: Stay on the same strength or consider titrating down by one strength (e.g. reduce 10mg to 7.5mg).
    • If it has been less than 4 weeks since your last injection and you did not have side effects on the current strength: Continue on the same strength or titrate up to the next strength.
    • If it has been 4 - 8 weeks since your last injection and you you did not have side effects with your last pen: We would advise restarting one strength lower to reduce the risk of side effects. You can restart from the same strength, however, your body may have lost tolerance to the medication.
    • If it has been more than 4 weeks since your last injection and you have previously experienced significant side effects: You must restart from 2.5mg.
    • If it has been more than 8 weeks since your last injection: You will need to restart from 2.5mg. If you have been on treatment for more than 6 months and have previously tolerated all strengths over 5mg without side effects, you may restart from 5mg.
  • What will the new Mounjaro prices be?

Since the recent news about the wholesale price increase of Mounjaro we have been working hard to ensure you continue to receive the right medication to support your weight loss journey, while upholding the high standards of service and care you expect from us.

Following the manufacturer’s update, we are now able to confirm our new pricing for Mounjaro. We will be holding our current prices on the strengths that we have in stock until they run out. These strengths will then move to the new pricing.

  • Is Wegovy an alternative option for me?

Yes, Wegovy is likely to be a cheaper alternative option to Mounjaro for many patients. We have reduced the price of Wegovy to ensure that all doses are now lower than the equivalent current Mounjaro price to allow for an option to continue treatment at a similar cost.

We have a number of informative guides including Mounjaro v. Wegovy comparison guide or how to switch from Mounjaro to Wegovy, which will answer many of your questions.

  • Can I buy multiple pens or order early to avoid the price increase?

Unfortunately not, Mounjaro is a prescription medication, it can only be supplied according to your treatment schedule. This means we can only dispense your next pen once you’ve completed three doses from your current pen, to ensure your treatment remains safe and clinically appropriate. We want to ensure everyone gets fair access to ongoing treatment so we cannot allow stock piling.

  • Can I take smaller doses to make my pen last longer?

No - taking unsupervised, smaller doses (micro-dosing and “click counting”) has never been clinically tested and can lead to inaccurate dosing, unpredictable side effects, pen breakage, and possible long-term health risks.

  • Can I buy a dose I’m not on yet?

If it’s part of your normal titration schedule (i.e. one dose up or down), yes, but you cannot skip a dose or buy a dose that you are working towards unless it is your next direct medication increase or decrease.

  • Are you still delivering orders as normal?

Yes we are, but we are currently seeing an increase in demand and as such your delivery may take slightly longer than normal to dispatch. You should still expect to receive your order within 1 - 3 working days of placing it and it will be delivered in temperature-controlled packaging on a Tracked 24 delivery as usual.
