How To Use Prescription Genital Herpes Treatment Cream for Genital Herpes

Prescription Genital Herpes Treatment Cream is a topical cream that can be applied around the penis and scrotum in men, and around the vagina in women, if blisters or sores are present. This cream should not be used internally. Apply with gloves to avoid numbing of the fingers.

1. Before using, ensure that the affected area is clean and dry.
2. To apply the cream, spread (1–2ml) onto the affected area, but do not rub it fully into the skin. It may sting for a few seconds, and you may feel a tingling sensation, but within a few minutes you should notice a reduction in the amount of pain you feel.
3. Repeat as required, but do not use more than every 4 hours.
4. Wash your hands thoroughly after use.

Side Effects

Like all medicines, Prescription Genital Herpes Treatment Cream may cause side effects. Side effects may include:

• Burning, swelling or redness of the skin in the area where you have applied the cream. If these symptoms persist or if you’re concerned about them, contact your doctor.
• Some people are allergic to the ingredients of the medicine. The symptoms of an allergy are facial swelling or shortness of breath – if you experience these symptoms, seek medical attention immediately.
• In some very rare instances, patients report increased blistering as a result of applying lidocaine. If this occurs, contact your doctor immediately.
