Vivesse Vaginal Cream Information

What Is Vivesse Vaginal Cream?

Vivesse is a gynaecological cream used to support a healthy vaginal pH. It reduces your chances of developing recurrent vaginal infections by encouraging the growth of friendly bacteria. This can help ease symptoms such as redness, itching, discharge and vaginal dryness.

Can I Use Vivesse Vaginal Cream?

Vivesse vaginal cream may be suitable if you have an imbalance in your vaginal pH. A healthcare professional may also recommend using Vivesse alongside other treatments if you experience recurrent vaginal infections. It should not be used as a substitute for treating an underlying infection.

How Does Vivesse Vaginal Cream Work?

Vivesse vaginal cream forms a gentle barrier and helps restore the natural pH of your vagina. This encourages the growth of ‘good’ bacteria known as lactobacilli. These friendly bacteria help protect your vagina and reduce the overgrowth of unwanted bacteria and fungi that can cause infections, such as Candida and Gardnerella.

Alternatives to Vivesse Vaginal Cream

If Vivesse vaginal cream is unsuitable for you, other options may be more appropriate. These include:

  • Lactic acid pessaries
  • Vaginal moisturisers or gels that support pH balance
  • Antifungal treatments
  • Antibiotic treatments

How to Use Vivesse Vaginal Cream

Always use the applicator provided in the box. Lie on your back with your knees bent so your legs form a triangle shape. Gently insert the applicator fully into your vagina. Press the plunger to release the cream fully, then remove the applicator. Use one application each evening before bed until your symptoms disappear.
