Blephaclean Eyelid Wipes Information
What are Blephaclean Eyelid Wipes?
Blephaclean Eyelid Wipes are a preservative, soap and paraben-free treatment that are designed to ease dry, red, crusty and swollen eyelids associated with blepharitis and dry eyes.
Blephaclean Eyelid Wipes are manufactured by Thea Pharmaceuticals and contain a micellar solution to cleanse the eyelids while protecting the surrounding skin. They are suitable for children and adults over the age of 3 months and are safe for use on sensitive skin.
What are Blephaclean Eyelid Wipes used for?
Blepharitis is a non-contagious condition that is usually caused by either bacteria or a dry skin condition known as atopic dermatitis. It causes the skin on the eyelids and along the lash line to become red, swollen and itchy. People who suffer from blepharitis may also notice:
- Their eyes feel gritty
- They appear crusty
- The eyelids can become stuck together after sleeping
- They develop dry eyes
Blephaclean Eyelid Wipes are an effective preventative and treatment for blepharitis. Daily cleansing of the eyelids helps to clear bacteria quickly leaving your eyes looking and feeling soothed and revitalised.
These sterile wipes can also be used to help clean eyes and eyelids that are affected by allergies or infection, including styes, Meibomian Gland Dysfunction and chalazion (cysts).
How do Blephaclean Eylid Wipes work?
Blephaclean Eyelid Wipes are infused with a micellar solution that helps to cleanse the skin, removing microbes that can cause infection and inflammation to the eyelids. They also hydrate the skin helping to relieve dryness and itching while being gentle on the surrounding areas to minimise irritation.
How quickly do Blephaclean Eylid Wipes work?
When Blephaclean Eyelid Wipes are used as directed they have been clinically proven to significantly reduce the bacteria present on the eyelids within 3 days. After around 1 month of daily use, most people will be symptoms free or notice remarkable improvements to the look and feel of their eyes and eyelids.
If your symptoms have not improved within 1 month of use you should speak to a doctor or pharmacist for further advice.
Alternatives to Blephaclean?
The most effective way of treating symptoms of blepharitis is to cleanse your eyes daily. If you have run out of Blephaclean Wipes you can continue to clean your eyes using cotton wool and warm water, holding the cotton wool in place for 10 minutes or gently massaging the eyelids for 30 seconds.
