Chris Newbury qualified as a pharmacist in 1996. After graduating from the University of Bath he has practiced pharmacy in hospitals in Middlesbrough and Bristol as well as in a variety of community pharmacies. He has experience in auditing and advising doctors on their prescribing, running teaching sessions for doctors and other healthcare professionals and running successful pharmacy stores.
His main focus is in providing holistic care for his patients and helping them above and beyond what is generally expected, whilst supporting his fellow healthcare professionals by providing advice and guidance. Chris continued to develop his knowledge and gained a postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy followed by qualifying as an Independent Pharmacist Prescriber in 2012. This allows him to use his vast clinical knowledge to prescribe medicines for patients in his areas of specialty.
