Regaine for Women Once a Day Scalp Foam is a topical hair treatment for female pattern hair loss. The foam contains minoxidil, an active ingredient that encourages regrowth by revitalising the hair follicles, helping to prevent further hair loss (androgenic alopecia) and hereditary thinning.

Can I Use Regaine for Women Once a Day Scalp Foam?

Regaine for Women Once a Day Scalp Foam may be suitable if you are a woman aged 18 to 65 experiencing gradual, hereditary hair thinning (female pattern hair loss). It is designed for use once daily on a dry scalp and may need to be used for 12–24 weeks before you notice new hair growth.

Do not use this treatment if any of the following apply:

• You are male
• You are under 18 or over 65
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding
• You have had a previous allergic reaction to minoxidil or any of the ingredients
• Your hair loss is caused by medication
• You have total baldness or complete loss of body hair
• Your hair loss is sudden, unexplained or due to childbirth
• You have high blood pressure

How Does Regaine Scalp Foam Work?

Regaine for Women Once a Day Scalp Foam’s active ingredient, minoxidil, works by increasing blood flow around the hair follicles and stimulating hair to move from the resting phase (telogen) to the active growth phase (anagen). Minoxidil then extends each follicle’s growth phase for long-lasting results. Once your hair begins to regrow, you need to continue using the treatment daily.

How To Use Regaine for Women Scalp Foam

1. Wash your hands thoroughly before application and make sure your hair and scalp are dry.
2. Part your hair to expose thinning areas; you may need to part your hair in several sections.
3. Dispense the foam onto your fingers and gently massage it into the scalp from back to front.

Wash your hands thoroughly after application, and avoid washing your hair for at least four hours to allow the treatment to absorb properly.

Side Effects

Warnings

If you experience any of the following, stop using Regaine for Women Once a Day Scalp Foam immediately and consult your GP:

• Allergic reactions, including a swollen face, skin redness, itching or throat tightness
• Low blood pressure
• Fast heartbeat or palpitations
• Faintness or dizziness
• Swollen hands or feet, shortness of breath or high blood pressure
• Sudden, unexplained weight gain
• Persistent local redness or rash
