What are Anadin Joint Pain 200mg Ibuprofen Tablets and how do they work?

Anadin Joint Pain 200mg Ibuprofen tablets contain ibuprofen and are used to help with joint pain, like the pain from arthritis.

How ibuprofen helps:

Ibuprofen reduces swelling and pain in the joints. It does this by blocking certain chemicals in the body that can cause inflammation and pain. It can also help to bring down a fever.

How to take Anadin Joint Pain Tablets

Before using, carefully review the enclosed leaflet.

Adults, the elderly, and children and adolescents over 12 years of age: Take 1 or 2 tablets with a glass of water up to 3 times a day as required. Do not take more often than every 4 hours. Don't take more than 6 tablets in a 24 hours period.

12-18 years: If symptoms get worse or stay for more than 3 days, or you get new symptoms consult your doctor.

For adults aged 18 years or older: If symptoms worsen, or persist for more than 10 days, or you get new symptoms consult your pharmacist or doctor.

Anadin Joint Pain 200mg Ibuprofen Tablet ingredients

The active substance is 200mg of ibuprofen.

Each tablet also contains: maize starch, pregelatinised starch, silica colloidal anhydrous, croscarmellose sodium, stearic acid, sodium lauryl sulfate.

Anadin Joint Pain 200mg Ibuprofen Tablet side effects

Like all medicines, your medicine can cause side effects, although these are very rare.

Some of the more common side effects include:

  • Allergic Reactions: Hives, skin rashes and itching.
  • Stomach: Abdominal pain, indigestion, heartburn and nausea.
  • Nervous system: Headache

Anadin Joint Pain 200mg Ibuprofen Tablet warnings

Do not give to children under 12 years.

Do not take if you:

  • Have or have ever had a stomach ulcer, perforation or bleeding, including due to NSAIDs (a term used to describe a range of painkillers)
  • Are allergic to ibuprofen or any other ingredient of the product, aspirin or other related painkillers
  • Suffer from severe liver, kidney or heart failure
  • Are in the last 3 months of pregnancy
  • Are taking any other NSAID painkillers or aspirin

Do not take Anadin Joint Pain Tablets for longer than the recommended time.

Do not exceed the recommended dose or duration of treatment.
