Imigran Injections (Sumatriptan) Information
What Are Imigran Injections?
Imigran injections contain sumatriptan, a medicine used to treat migraines. The injection is supplied as a pre-filled cartridge syringe used with the Imigran Subject injection device.
Sumatriptan belongs to a group of medicines called triptans, which work during an attack to relieve headache pain and associated symptoms.
Can I Use Imigran Injections?
Imigran injections may be suitable for adults who experience migraines. They are usually used when symptoms have started and can help relieve headache pain and associated symptoms.
How Do Imigran Injections Work?
Migraine symptoms may be caused by the temporary widening of blood vessels in the head. Imigran Subject is believed to reduce the widening of these blood vessels. It helps to take away the headache and relieve other symptoms such as nausea or vomiting and sensitivity to light and sound.
